Frequently asked

Same-day delivery is the standard for a Scarborough address. Get your order in before 3 PM, Monday through Saturday, and a florist hand-ties it that afternoon in our Toronto studio before a driver carries it to the door, be it a Malvern townhouse or a condo overlooking Scarborough Town Centre. Anything placed after 3 PM simply goes out the following delivery day.

Flower deliveries to Scarborough run Monday to Saturday only, never on Sundays or statutory holidays. So an order you place on a Sunday, or one that lands after the mid-afternoon cutoff, is arranged and sent the next day we're driving, usually Monday. Booked before 3 PM on a Saturday morning, though, a bouquet still reaches Woburn or Agincourt that same afternoon.

Cindy's Flowers reaches every Scarborough address with an M1 postal code, Agincourt down to Guildwood, each bouquet driven east from our Toronto studio rather than sold from a local shopfront. For the condo towers around Scarborough Town Centre and along McCowan Road, add the buzzer code and unit number to your delivery notes; the driver can then ring up from the lobby, and a concierge desk can usually take the flowers in if the recipient happens to be out.

Bedside get-well bouquets reach all three Scarborough Health Network sites, General, Centenary on Ellesmere Road, and Birchmount over in Agincourt, on the same day when the order is in by 3 PM, Monday to Saturday. Hospitals typically route flowers through the front desk rather than straight to the bed, so include the patient's full name and unit in the delivery notes, and check with the ward before sending to an ICU, where flowers are often restricted. We keep the arrangement calm and uncluttered, easy to set on a windowsill.

Should a particular stem be out of season the morning your order reaches our Toronto studio, the designers swap in a comparable bloom of the same worth or better, matched closely on colour, shape and the mood of the occasion. A dozen reds destined for a Woburn anniversary stays an unmistakably romantic red bouquet, so the look you chose still lands as intended.

Booking a day or two ahead is the smart move for Scarborough's biggest flower holidays. Valentine's Day and Mother's Day are the floral calendar's two giant days for florists everywhere, and this east end is no exception. Same-day delivery still runs on both dates if you order before 3 PM, but reserving early secures your roses for that Guildwood doorstep or a Town Centre desk before the most popular stems are spoken for.

Roses for many communities, one city

There is a particular kind of Saturday in Scarborough. Somewhere near Agincourt a family is setting a long table for a milestone; out by Guildwood a quieter house is keeping vigil; and a teenager on Kingston Road is buying a single bunch just because Friday went well. Flowers thread through all of it. With roughly 620,000 people and one of the most culturally varied communities in Canada, Scarborough marks an enormous range of moments, and the bouquets reflect that.

Roses lead the way here, as they tend to everywhere love is being said out loud. We pack a classic dozen roses, which reward a little care, for the engagements and anniversaries that the South Asian, Chinese, Tamil and Filipino families across this end of the city celebrate in such number. For the days that ask for something gentler, soft white lilies carry their own quiet language. And when someone simply wants colour, a mixed bouquet does the rest. Every one goes out hand-tied and wrapped for the road, stems cut and conditioned only hours before leaving, so all the recipient has to do is give them a fresh trim and a vase of their own.

Down by the Bluffs, all year

The calendar moves, and so do the flowers. Spring brings new babies and graduations near Sheppard Avenue East, occasions that call for bright, hopeful stems. Summer is weddings and long evenings up on the Bluffs, where roses and fuller arrangements feel right. Autumn quiets things down again.

Some of the tenderest work a florist does heads for a hospital. All three Scarborough Health Network sites, General, Centenary and Birchmount, are within our range, and a get-well bunch or a sympathy arrangement gets the care that moment deserves, calm and composed at the door. Offices around Scarborough Town Centre run the other way; a long-lasting orchid or plant will hold a desk for weeks.

What ties it together is craft. A Scarborough rose should look the way a rose looked when your grandmother kept them, full and a little wild, not stiff. That is the standard we design to, whether the address is a leafy street near the Guild Inn or a high-rise off McCowan Road. Order before 3 PM and most of it can arrive the same day. Mostly, though, we just want the person opening the door to feel exactly what the sender meant. See what is fresh this week and send something true.

Delivery zones

Cindy's Flowers delivers hand-tied bouquets across all of Scarborough, Ontario, the full east-end M1 postal grid from the lakeshore Bluffs up to Steeles. In practice that means the northern communities along Sheppard Avenue East and Markham Road, the lakeside streets off Kingston Road, the busy core around McCowan Road and Scarborough Town Centre, and the eastern edge stretching out toward Rouge Park.

The cutoff matters more the farther east you go. Addresses near Rouge and Highland Creek sit at the edge of the run, so an order placed before 3 PM gives our Toronto studio the time to arrange and route it for same-day arrival, Monday to Saturday.

Just past Scarborough's borders, we also deliver to neighbouring North York and Markham on the same day-by-3-PM schedule.
