Average published prices from 398 Canadian florists (3,873 prices, collected 19 August 2026), rounded to the nearest dollar. An estimate built from the wedding flower price study, not a quote.
How it compares
Right now every price is still the published average, so there is nothing to compare. Been quoted? Type the figure into any Unit price box above and this panel shows how the quote sits against the market, item by item. That is the comparison worth sharing.

Every one of the 7 items on your list is something Cindy’s Flowers makes. The figures here are other florists' published averages; a written quote is how you find out an actual price, and for the Toronto area Cindy’s sends one within one business day.
Get this list quotedHow much are wedding flowers? Most florists quote per wedding and publish nothing, so wedding flower cost ends up discussed in ranges copied from old blog posts. Here are real numbers instead: the estimator above prices your own list from a study of 968 florists' published prices, and everything below it is the evidence behind every figure it uses.
Collected 19 August 2026 from florists' own published price lists for the Cindy's Flowers wedding flower price study: 398 Canadian florists (3,873 prices) and 570 American florists (5,661 prices). Published market figures, not the Cindy's Flowers price list.
What wedding flowers cost, item by item
These are published prices, not survey answers. Every figure is computed from prices florists list on their own websites, one price per shop, however many products it carries.
| Item | Average | Top end | Florists |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bridal bouquet | $246 | $364 | 146 |
| Bridesmaid bouquet | $128 | $175 | 94 |
| Boutonniere | $31 | $45 | 170 |
| Corsage | $49 | $68 | 142 |
| Centrepiece | $176 | $253 | 87 |
| Petals (flower girl, aisle) | $40 | $55 | 22 |
| Ceremony / arch florals | $464 | $692 | 43 |
Averages are computed across florists: each shop counts once, however many products it lists. The top-end column is the 90th percentile, so nine florists in ten publish below it. Items priced by fewer than eight florists are not reported. The ceremony row is florals only; arch hardware rentals are separate.
How these compare with the ranges published elsewhere
Most wedding flower ranges online are national, years old and copied between guides. Checked against what florists actually publish, the guides hold up for the small pieces and miss on the big ones.
| Item | Commonly quoted online | Published range | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bridal bouquet | $175–$330 | $178–$364 | Broadly right |
| Bridesmaid bouquet | $80–$150 | $96–$175 | Broadly right |
| Boutonniere | $15–$40 | $22–$45 | Broadly right |
| Centrepiece | $55–$185+ | $108–$253 | Runs higher |
| Arch / altar florals | $400–$1,200+ | $305–$692 | Runs lower |
The published range runs from the low end of what florists charge to what the priciest tenth charge, so it describes real listings rather than one typical figure. Verdicts compare the midpoints of the two ranges.
How to set a wedding flower budget
Start from the list, not from a percentage. Count the pieces you need, price them at the averages above, and you have a defensible wedding flower budget before you speak to anyone.
The example below assumes a 100-guest wedding: ten guest tables, a wedding party of four, boutonnieres for the couple and the immediate wedding party, corsages for two mothers and two grandmothers, and one arrangement at the ceremony.
| Item | Qty | At the average |
|---|---|---|
| Bridal bouquet | 1 | $246 |
| Bridesmaid bouquets | 4 | $512 |
| Boutonnieres | 6 | $186 |
| Corsages | 4 | $196 |
| Centrepieces | 10 | $1,760 |
| Ceremony arrangement | 1 | $464 |
| Petals | 1 | $40 |
| Total | $3,404 |
Arithmetic on the published averages, not a quote. Delivery, setup and any vessels you keep are separate lines on a real quote.
The reception is half the order. Ten centrepieces at the Canadian average come to $1,760 of a $3,404 total, while the bridal bouquet, the piece most couples agonise over, is $246 of it. Table count, not the bouquet, is the largest single lever in almost every wedding flower budget.
After that, two things move the number: whether the flowers you want are in season on your date, and whether anything has to be built on site. An arch or a backdrop turns a delivery into a crew, a vehicle and an install window, and it is priced accordingly.
Planning your wedding in or around the Greater Toronto Area? Cindy’s Flowers publishes the price of every wedding piece it makes, so you can turn this example into a real local figure: build the same list on the package builder and a written quote comes back within one business day.
What’s behind the price: stem counts
A bouquet is not the price of the flowers in it. About 35 stems are ordered days ahead, collected, held at temperature, cleaned, cut, placed one at a time, bound and finished, and whatever is not good enough on the day is thrown away.
| Piece | Stems | Why it costs what it does |
|---|---|---|
| Bridal bouquet | ~35 | Every stem is conditioned, cut, placed one at a time, then bound and finished by hand. It is the most labour-dense piece of the day. |
| Bridesmaid bouquet | 15–20 | About half the stems of a bridal bouquet, but not half the price: the ordering, conditioning and finishing work barely shrinks. |
| Centrepiece (medium table) | ~30 | Multiply by your table count. Ten tables is 300 stems, which is why this line moves a budget more than any other. |
| Compote / statement centrepiece | ~35 | A bridal bouquet worth of flowers, in a vessel that is sold with it rather than lent. |
| Ceremony arch | 50–70, plus 5–8 bunches of greenery | Plus a build, a vehicle and a crew inside the venue’s install window, which is why installations are quoted separately from everything else. |
Trade quantities, not a shopping list: a florist buys by the box and conditions everything a day ahead. The counts are here because price tracks stem count far more closely than it tracks diameter.
Getting married in Toronto or the Greater Toronto Area? Cindy’s Flowers makes every piece in this table and publishes each price up front, so you can see what these quantities cost locally without waiting for a consultation.

Getting a real number for your wedding
Everything above is the market. A quote is your list, priced, so the fastest route to an accurate figure is to write down the pieces you actually need and have someone price exactly that.
Close to Toronto or the Greater Toronto Area? That someone can be Cindy’s Flowers: every wedding piece it makes is published with its price, and a written quote comes back within one business day.
