Frequently asked

Place your order by 3 PM, Monday through Saturday, and it travels to Oakville that afternoon. We arrange every bouquet to order in our Toronto studio once your request lands, then send it west along the QEW. A morning order for a doorstep in Old Oakville or Glen Abbey lands the same day, peonies and garden roses included in spring.

Oakville deliveries run Monday through Saturday only, so we pause on Sundays and statutory holidays. Anything you submit on those days, or once the 3 PM cutoff has passed, gets arranged and dispatched on the following working day. A Sunday request bound for Bronte or Eastlake, for example, heads out first thing Monday morning.

Every Oakville neighbourhood is on our delivery routes, from the Bronte waterfront up to Palermo, all served out of the Toronto studio. What speeds a driver up more than geography is detail: for a condo near the Uptown Core or Oakville GO, add the buzzer code and unit number to your notes, and for the deep-set lots off Lakeshore Road, a word about the gate or the side door spares the doorstep guesswork. Order by 3 PM, Monday to Saturday, and we'll find the street that day.

Get-well flowers reach Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital on Dundas Street West as readily as any home or office in town. Hospitals typically route deliveries through the front desk or reception, so put the patient's full name and unit in your delivery notes, and check ahead with wards like the ICU, where flowers are sometimes restricted. Cheerful get-well bouquets and calm white lilies are the classic hospital-room choices. Order before 3 PM for arrival that same day.

If a stem in your Oakville order sells out, we swap in a comparable flower of the same or higher value, matched to the look, colour and mood you picked, then design the piece to suit your occasion. Short-season blooms like peonies are the likeliest culprits. An anniversary arrangement headed to Glen Abbey still carries the feel and worth of the one you ordered, built from whatever is freshest that week.

Valentine's Day and Mother's Day are the two dates the whole floral world braces for, in Oakville as much as anywhere. Same-day still works on both if your order beats the 3 PM cutoff. For a Lakeshore Road dinner or a porch in West Oak Trails, a day or two of notice eases the crush and secures first pick of the peonies or roses before they're spoken for.

Peonies for a harbour wedding

There's a rhythm to a year in Oakville, and flowers mark most of it. A June wedding on the lakeside lawns near the harbour. A new baby coming home to a quiet street in West Oak Trails. A fortieth anniversary dinner along Lakeshore Road, the kind of evening that asks for something a little grand. People here send flowers to say the things that are hard to fit into a card, and Oakville keeps a calendar any florist could set a watch by.

Spring is when the peonies take over. Their season is short and a little theatrical, all that blowsy fullness gone in a few weeks, which is exactly why they feel like an occasion in themselves. They're also worth a little fuss once they arrive, peonies reward a little care, and a few small habits stretch that short season further. Oakville's big moments lean toward them, so we pair seasonal peonies with garden roses for the engagements, the milestone anniversaries, and the harbour weddings that the warmer months seem to bring out. They suit the houses around Old Oakville and Glen Abbey, but honestly, they suit anybody who deserves a little drama.

Marking the anniversaries that matter

Not every flower is a celebration. Some are quieter, and those matter just as much. A birthday in River Oaks calls for a soft, hand-tied mixed bouquet; a recovery room at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital asks for white lilies; and the offices clustered near Winston Park and the Uptown Core suit long-lasting orchids and plants, where a desk plant outlives a card. Oakville is a town of many roots, English, Irish and Scottish alongside its South Asian, Chinese and Arab communities, and every one of those traditions keeps its own dates worth a bouquet.

What stays the same is how we make them. Every bouquet is hand-tied and wrapped for the drive, built the day it ships and never assembled days ahead to wilt on a shelf; at the other end, the recipient simply trims the stems into a vase of their own. So the peonies that reach a porch in Bronte still have that just-cut weight to them. You can browse what's blooming now and see live pricing before you decide, and if you need flowers there today, ordering before 3 PM is the trick. We'll do the rest. Oakville's been good to us, and we like to think the flowers say so.

Delivery zones

Cindy's Flowers delivers hand-tied bouquets to every postal walk in Oakville, Ontario, spanning the L6H, L6J, L6K, L6L and L6M prefixes. Coverage runs from the Old Oakville and Bronte waterfronts up through Glen Abbey and the Uptown Core, out to Palermo at the town's western edge, with nothing south of the lake or short of the 403 left uncovered.

Because every Oakville order is driven west from our Toronto studio along the QEW, the 3 PM cutoff is the deciding factor for same-day arrival. Place your order before mid-afternoon, Monday to Saturday, and your flowers go out that same day. Orders that land after the cutoff are made up and delivered the next delivery day. Since the same drivers carry on past Oakville, we also reach neighbouring Burlington to the west and Mississauga back toward the city.
