Average Cost of Wedding Flowers in the United States: The 2026 Price Study

We examined the websites of 1,312 American florists, collected 5,661 individual published wedding prices across 22 metros, and counted how many publish anything at all. Every figure below is in USD and nothing is converted.

47% of US florists publish any wedding pricing at all. Among those who do, the average bridal bouquet is $248 USD (n=247) and the average published minimum spend is $4,629 (n=196).

Every figure on this page is the published price of the floral item itself. Delivery, setup or other labour are not included.

The complete dataset is free to download and reuse under CC BY 4.0.

Key findings

Every number here is computed from the published dataset. Figures are averages across florists: each shop counts once, however many products it lists. An average is pulled upward by the most expensive florists.

  • 47% of US wedding florists publish any pricing on their own website

We checked a random sample of 396 US florists: 172 of them published pricing of some kind. That is 43%, corrected up to 47% for pricing pages our search missed.

  • The average wedding bridal bouquet in the United States costs $248 USD

Prices run from $45 to $1,000, with the top tenth of florists charging $332 or more. Based on 247 US florists who publish a bridal bouquet price.

  • The average wedding table centrepiece in the United States costs $230 USD

Prices run from $30 to $1,045, with the top tenth of florists charging $391 or more. Based on 206 US florists.

  • The average wedding florist minimum spend in the United States is $4,629 USD

Across 196 US florists who publish a minimum. They range from $100 to $40,000.

  • Flowers for a 50–100 guest wedding in the United States average $4,403 USD

Modelled by multiplying average per-item prices by a typical order, not an observed wedding invoice. Flowers only: delivery, setup and labour are extra.

  • Flowers for a 150–250 guest wedding in the United States average $7,570 USD

Most of that is centrepieces, which scale with the number of tables while the bridal bouquet and ceremony arrangement stay at one.

  • San Francisco has the most expensive bridal bouquets in the United States, averaging $347 USD

Across 8 florists there. Miami is the lowest of the 18 metros reported, averaging $183.

  • A 200-guest wedding order averages most in Washington, DC, at $9,521 USD

Compared with $4,145 in Portland, a gap of $5,376 on the same four-item basket.

Wedding flower cost by guest count

These totals are modelled, not observed. We multiplied the per-item statistics above by a fixed item mix for each guest count, the same mix the estimator on this site uses, so they answer "what would this order cost at typical published prices", not "what did real weddings pay".

No wedding in this dataset was observed at these totals, and a real quote varies with flower choice, season and design. Exactly what each order includes is listed beside each total.

Guest countAverage total (USD)What it includes
Under 25 guests$2,2421 × bridal bouquet, 1 × bridesmaid bouquet, 2 × boutonnière, 2 × corsage, 3 × centrepiece, 1 × ceremony / altar florals, 1 × petals
25–50 guests$2,8461 × bridal bouquet, 2 × bridesmaid bouquet, 3 × boutonnière, 2 × corsage, 5 × centrepiece, 1 × ceremony / altar florals, 1 × petals
50–100 guests$4,4031 × bridal bouquet, 4 × bridesmaid bouquet, 6 × boutonnière, 4 × corsage, 10 × centrepiece, 1 × ceremony / altar florals, 1 × petals
100–150 guests$5,6971 × bridal bouquet, 5 × bridesmaid bouquet, 7 × boutonnière, 4 × corsage, 15 × centrepiece, 1 × ceremony / altar florals, 1 × petals
150–250 guests$7,5701 × bridal bouquet, 6 × bridesmaid bouquet, 9 × boutonnière, 6 × corsage, 22 × centrepiece, 1 × ceremony / altar florals, 1 × petals
250+ guests$9,6981 × bridal bouquet, 8 × bridesmaid bouquet, 11 × boutonnière, 6 × corsage, 30 × centrepiece, 1 × ceremony / altar florals, 1 × petals

Flowers only: delivery, setup and labour are extra. Planning a wedding flower budget for a specific headcount: the 50–100 row is the closest fit for 100 guests, the 100–150 row for 150 guests, and the 150–250 row for 200 guests. Scaling is deliberately uneven: centrepieces track the number of tables and the attendant flowers track the wedding party, while the bridal bouquet and the ceremony arrangement stay at one however many guests attend. That is why the total does not double when the guest count does.

Average wedding flower prices by item

Each florist contributes one value per item, their own typical price, so a shop listing one bouquet in forty colourways counts once, not forty times. Items published by fewer than eight florists are not reported.

The average is the figure to plan with. The top-end column is the 90th percentile: nine florists in ten publish below it. It shows how far the expensive end runs. Flowers only.

Bridal bouquet prices by metro

The bridal bouquet is the single most recognisable purchase and the item with the deepest sample, which makes it the fairest one-item comparison between cities. A metro appears only where at least eight florists there publish a bouquet price.

Every figure is the average price of one bridal bouquet, ranked most to least expensive. A metro appears only where at least eight florists there publish a bouquet price.

Cost of flowers for a 200-guest wedding, by metro

The same order priced in each city. Every row uses an identical four-item basket of one bridal bouquet, six bridesmaid bouquets, nine boutonnières and twenty-two centrepieces, so the cities can be compared directly rather than each being scored on whatever it happens to price.

That basket is about 87% of a full 150–250 guest order; corsages, ceremony florals and petals are left out because too few florists in most metros publish them. Like the other guest-count figures these totals are modelled from item prices, not observed invoices.

MetroAverage 200-guest order (USD)

Atlanta$5,433
Austin$5,314
Philadelphia$5,272
Pittsburgh$5,126
Dallas$4,442
Minneapolis$4,300
Portland$4,145

Basket: 1 bridal bouquet + 6 bridesmaid bouquets + 9 boutonnières + 22 centrepieces. Excludes delivery, setup and labour. A metro appears only where at least five florists there publish a price for every one of the four items. That is why several metros are absent.

Minimum spend

Many florists publish no item prices but do state a floor: the smallest order they will take. For a couple deciding whether to enquire at all, it is often the more useful number.

The average published minimum is $4,629 USD, across 196 florists who publish one, ranging from $100 to $40,000.

How this was collected

We read prices from florists' own public websites, not a survey of couples and not one company's order book. Each price is recorded with its source URL, the verbatim text it was read from, and the exact second the page was fetched.

What counts as a price
A "starting at" figure is a floor, not a typical price, so the two are never pooled. A published range counts once, at its midpoint. Package deals and per-foot items are kept separate from per-item prices.
One vote per florist
Percentiles are computed across florists, not across listings; each shop contributes its own typical price for an item, so a store listing one bouquet in forty colourways counts once, not forty times.
What was left out
Excluded before collection began: DIY and wholesale bulk, artificial and dried-only sellers, hardware rental with no flowers, and the wedding guides themselves. Cindy's Flowers, which publishes this study, is excluded from its own dataset.
Thin data is withheld
Any item priced by fewer than eight florists is not reported at all, rather than published as a number too fragile to rely on.
Re-checked against the live web
1,124 rows were fetched again from the live sites and re-checked by a different automated reviewer than the one that recorded them, prompted to disprove rather than confirm. It found 1 row where the figure itself was wrong. This is a second pass within our own pipeline, not an outside audit; every price also traces to a saved copy of the page it came from, which anyone can re-check against the source URL in the data.
What this is not
These are advertised prices, not invoices. A real quote moves with flower choice, season and design, and the florists who publish prices may not price like those who do not. The guest-count totals are modelled, not observed.
