Should centrepieces be tall or low?

Low, unless the room has the height to carry tall pieces and your guest tables are large enough that they do not crowd place settings. A mix works well: tall on a handful of tables for the photographs, low everywhere else so people can actually see each other.

What are bud vases, and why are they so popular?

A bud vase is a small vessel holding one or two stems. Clustering several of them gives you the presence of a full centerpiece with fewer flowers, they can be arranged differently on every table, and they are easy to hand over and place yourself — which makes them a natural fit for a delivery-only order.

Yes. Vessels are sold with the order, not lent, so everything on the table is yours to keep or pass on at the end of the night. There is nothing to return and no deposit to get back.

Can the ceremony flowers be reused at the reception?

Often, yes — aisle arrangements and altar pieces frequently work as head-table or bar flowers. Moving them takes someone on site during the gap between ceremony and reception, so it is arranged as part of a full-service booking rather than something you can plan on happening by itself.

How far in advance are centrepieces delivered?

On the wedding day itself, timed to your venue access. Arrangements arrive in water and hold well for the evening, so an afternoon delivery still looks right at midnight.

Wedding centerpiece ideas, by style

Six approaches, and what each one is genuinely good at. Most receptions end up mixing two of them.

Low and lush
A compact arrangement that sits below eye level so guests can talk across the table. The default for round tables of eight to ten, and the hardest style to get wrong.
Bud vase clusters
Three to seven small vases grouped together, each holding one or two stems. Flexible, easy to scale to any table shape, and the style that suits a delivery-only order best — you place them however you like on the night.
Tall and elevated
Flowers raised on a stand or a tall vessel so the arrangement clears sight lines entirely. Dramatic under a high ceiling, and worth doing on a few feature tables rather than all of them.
Long-table runners
A repeating line of low arrangements and greenery down a banquet table, built in sections so it can be as long as the table is. Best on king tables and head tables.
Greenery with candles
Foliage and candlelight with a small number of blooms. It fills a table generously for a modest flower count — check first whether your venue allows open flame.
A statement head table
One larger piece where the couple sits, with simpler arrangements everywhere else. If the budget only stretches to one thing, this is the table that appears in the photographs.

Delivered to your venue, or set on the tables for you

On the delivery-only tier we bring the finished arrangements to your venue at an agreed time and hand them over — you, your planner or the venue team put them on the tables. Bud vases and low arrangements are designed with exactly this in mind, so nothing needs assembling.

On the full-service tier we place every table ourselves, adjust for the actual room rather than the floor plan, and leave once it looks right.

Reception flower questions

One per guest table, plus whatever the head table needs, plus any side tables you want dressed — the gift table, the escort card table, the bar and the cake table are the usual extras. A 100-guest wedding on tables of ten normally means ten guest centerpieces and one or two feature pieces.
