How many flowers does an arch actually take?

More than most people expect. A generous asymmetric arch piece typically runs to 50 to 70 stems plus several bunches of greenery — it is a large arrangement built on a vertical surface, and the flower count is what drives the number in the quote.

Are ceremony installations available on the delivery-only tier?

No. Anything built on site is full-service by definition: it has to be constructed in place, secured properly and adjusted to the real space. Installations always include us being there to build them.

What is the difference between an arch and a floral backdrop?

An arch is a freestanding frame you stand under or in front of. A backdrop is a flat panel or wall behind you. Backdrops usually need more material for the same visual impact because there is more surface to cover.

When do you arrive to install?

As early as your venue allows access, and always with enough margin to finish before guests arrive. Venue access time is the first thing we ask about, because it decides what is realistically possible.

Can ceremony flowers move to the reception?

Frequently, yes — altar arrangements often become head-table or bar flowers. It needs someone on site during the gap between the two, so it is arranged as part of the booking rather than something to assume will happen.

Wedding arch flowers, floral backdrops, chuppah work, altar arrangements and aisle flowers are built in place rather than delivered in a box — which makes them the clearest example of our full-service tier. We design the piece around your ceremony space, arrive with it in parts, and assemble it on site across Toronto and the GTA.

Send us a photograph of the space and the structure you are working with. Ceiling height, the width of the frame and where guests will be sitting change the design more than any colour choice does.

Ceremony pieces and cake flowers

Installation designs are quoted per space, so this collection carries the pieces that have fixed sizes.

What we install

Six kinds of ceremony work, and the thing that most affects each one before you go any further.

Arch and arbour flowers
Floral work designed onto the arch, arbour or frame at your venue. Most couples choose asymmetric corner pieces rather than full coverage — it photographs better and puts the flowers where the camera is.
Floral backdrops and walls
A designed panel behind the ceremony or behind the head table. Scale is everything here: tell us the wall dimensions and the ceiling height before anything else.
Chuppah flowers
Floral and greenery work on the four poles and canopy edge of a chuppah, built to work from every angle because guests sit on all sides.
Altar and front-of-room arrangements
Paired or single arrangements framing where you stand. The most cost-effective way to make a plain ceremony space read as a wedding.
Aisle flowers and petals
Chair-end posies, aisle-edge arrangements, or petals down the aisle and for a flower girl. Check what your venue allows before you commit — some do not permit loose petals indoors.
Cake flowers
Fresh flowers placed on the cake, prepared food-safe and applied on site. Coordinate this with your baker early; it changes how the cake is built.

Why installations are full service

Everything on this page is built on site, so it sits on the upper tier by necessity. Personal flowers and centrepieces can still go on the delivery-only tier in the same order — the two mix freely.

The baseline

We design everything, deliver it to your venue or getting-ready address at an agreed time, and hand it over ready to go. You or your venue team place the pieces. This is the straightforward, à-la-carte option: pick the items you need, nothing more.

Full service: design & install

The upgrade

Everything in the delivery-only tier, plus we arrive and put it in place: pinning boutonnieres, dressing the arch, setting each table, and stepping back only when the room looks the way it did in the plan. This is the tier for ceremony installations and anything that has to be built on site.

Optional extras

Each of these is opt-in and quoted as its own line, so the estimate you start from stays the estimate you can book.

Setup & installationThe florist arrives, places every piece and styles the room. The range depends on the venue, any pieces built on site, and special requests.
Ceremony → reception flipThe florist comes back during cocktail hour and moves the ceremony flowers into the reception, so one set of arrangements does two jobs.
Additional delivery stopA second address on the day, usually the getting-ready hotel as well as the venue.

Yes, and that is how most of these are done. We design onto the arch, arbour or chuppah your venue provides or that you have sourced yourself. Send us a photograph of it and its dimensions and we will design to that specific structure.
