Cindy's Flowers offers same-day hydrangea delivery in Toronto and across the GTA. Order before 3 PM, Monday to Saturday, and your arrangement is made to order in our Toronto studio from $59 — a single hydrangea head fills a vase the way five stems of anything else would. Choose the all-white arrangement for the classic look, or the blue-and-white mix for the only true blue in the flower trade.

Frequently asked

Yes — order from Cindy's Flowers before 3 PM, Monday to Saturday, and a hydrangea arrangement is made that morning in our Toronto studio and delivered the same day across Toronto and the GTA, from $59.

Recut the stem and submerge the whole flower head in cool water for 30–45 minutes — hydrangeas drink through their petals and usually recover fully. Daily misting prevents the wilt in the first place. Cindy's Flowers includes hydrangea-specific care instructions with every Toronto delivery.

Three to five — each head is the size of a grapefruit, so hydrangeas fill a vase faster than any other stem Cindy's Flowers carries. A five-stem white hydrangea arrangement reads as a statement piece; order by 3 PM for same-day delivery across Toronto and the GTA.

Full vase, daily misting, cool room — hydrangeas drink through their petals, so surface moisture matters as much as stem water. If a head wilts anyway, submerge it entirely in cool water for 30-45 minutes. Care instructions ship with every Cindy's Flowers hydrangea delivery in Toronto.

Keep them out of reach — hydrangea leaves and flowers are mildly toxic to cats and dogs if chewed (stomach upset, not emergency-level like lilies). For a determined chewer's household, Cindy's Flowers recommends sunflowers instead, which are fully pet-safe.

Beautifully — let the vase water evaporate over two weeks rather than refilling, and the heads dry in place, holding shape and a muted version of their colour for months. Late-season antique-toned heads from Cindy's Flowers dry best.

When to send hydrangeas

Hydrangeas read as generous and grounded rather than romantic, which makes them the strong choice for housewarmings, thank-yous, and congratulations — occasions about a home or an achievement rather than a heart. In soft blue and white they're also a quietly perfect new-baby flower. And because a hydrangea arrangement looks abundant at any budget, they're what we suggest when the gesture needs to feel substantial.

They're also quietly right for sympathy — white hydrangeas carry calm without ceremony, suited to the home rather than the service — and for anniversaries in homes where roses feel expected. The 4th wedding anniversary is traditionally the hydrangea year, a fact that makes an easy card line.

Caring for your hydrangeas

Hydrangea means 'water vessel' in Greek, and the name is the whole care guide: these blooms drink through their petals as well as their stems. Keep the vase full — genuinely full, topped up daily — and mist the flower heads every day or two; it's the single biggest extender of hydrangea vase life. Recut the woody stems on a steep diagonal when they arrive.

If a head wilts early, don't give up on it: recut the stem and submerge the entire flower head in cool water for 30–45 minutes. It looks drastic and works remarkably well — hydrangeas rehydrate through the petals and usually stand back up. Keep the arrangement cool and out of direct sun, and expect five to nine days of vase life, longer for the green and antique varieties.

Florist's trick for a head that droops within the first day: recut the stem and dip the bottom two centimetres in boiling water for twenty seconds before returning it to cool water — it clears the sap that blocks hydrangeas' uptake. It looks brutal and works better than anything else.

About Hydrangeas delivery in Toronto

Hydrangeas are the most architectural flower we sell: each stem carries one cloud of florets the size of a grapefruit, so three stems make an arrangement and five make a statement. That volume is why designers love them — they build the shape of a bouquet in a way no small-headed stem can — and why a hydrangea arrangement photographs about twice as large as its stem count suggests.

The palette runs white through green to powder blue, dusty pink, and deep antique tones toward fall. White hydrangeas have become the signature of a certain kind of Toronto interior — clean, generous, unfussy — which makes them the most-requested hostess and housewarming flower in our range. They pair naturally with garden roses and eucalyptus in romantic arrangements, or stand entirely alone: a clutch of white heads in a clear glass cylinder is the little black dress of flower arranging.

Ontario's own hydrangea season runs high summer into fall, with imported stems keeping the supply steady year-round. Every arrangement is made to order in our Toronto studio and delivered same-day across Toronto and the GTA on orders placed before 3 PM, Monday to Saturday.

We keep two hydrangea arrangements on the menu: the White Hydrangea Arrangement — five heads in a clean dome, the little black dress of the range — and the Blue & White Hydrangea Bouquet, which pairs ivory with powder blue, the rarest natural colour in cut flowers. Both scale from a three-stem Mini to a ten-stem Grand that fills a console table.

Hydrangeas also have the best photographed-to-price ratio we sell: because each head is a complete composition, even the Mini reads as a designed arrangement rather than a bunch — the reason event florists and stylists default to them.
